PUNE: For a change, teachers enjoyed and broke loose from discipline at the Times NIE Teachers’ Meet 2017-18 held recently at Adlabs Imagica. About 100 educators from Times NIE member schools participated in a day’s outing at a theme park.

The teachers thoroughly enjoyed the rides and the majestic facades that served a perfect backdrop for selfies and photos. Be it the spine-chilling Nitro, the eerie Salimgarh, the scream machine, the pre-historic ‘Rajasaurus’ adventure or the spectacular ‘I for India’ ride – the venue had something exciting in store for all.

Supervisor from The Lexicon International School, Hadapsar Soma Das said, “It was indeed a ‘teachers’ day out’ – one without duties or worries. It provided for a great experience.”

The outing was also a platform for educators to meet and interact with their counterparts from other schools and foster camaraderie.

Educational counsellor from Blossom Public School, Tathawade Shubhangi Tupsoundre said, “It was a memorable event, especially with the wonderful place. Such a get-together with old and new friends from other schools is always rejuvenating. We enjoyed a lot.” The day concluded with a healthy bonding session over high tea.

Colonel Ashutosh Kale, joint chief executive officer and executive director, Adlabs Entertainment Ltd, said, “We were pleased to host the teachers at Imagica and give them a memorable experience. We see a lot of school groups visiting us, where kids enjoy while the teachers are busy managing them. It was a pleasant change to see them relax and let their hair down.”
